Good news PlayStation 4 owners! Sega just confirmed today that the Yakuza series prequel, Yakuza 0, will be coming to North America and Europe in 2017!

The confirmation comes from Sega themselves via a new trailer for the game, which you can check out below. The game takes place in Japan during the 1980s and shows the lives of series mainstays Kazuma Kiryu and Goro Majima back when they were mere foot soldiers in the major Yakuza syndicate, slowly working their way up the crime food chain to become the big Yakuza members they are in previous games. Unlike Yakuza 5, which was localized by Sony, this game will be localized entirely by Sega themselves, as a recent press release for the game emphasized.

The game released last year in Japan for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, and while Sega’s plans to only localize the PlayStation 4 version of the game might disappoint fans of Yakuza 5 (which was a digital PlayStation 3 release), fans of the series will be happy to know that Yakuza 0 will get both a physical and digital release. Yakuza 0 will release in North America and Europe sometime in 2017 exclusively for the PlayStation 4. And if you own a PlayStation 3 and haven’t played Yakuza 5, the game is currently on sale on PSN for $29.99, which is a 25 percent discount until April 4th.
