Battlefield 4 Supports Kinect Functionality on the Xbox One!
According to a report published by Polygon the Xbox One version of Battlefield 4 will make use of certain Kinect features allowing players to lean out from behind cover via head tracking and call for a medic, ask for ammo or cancel requests via voice commands. EA demonstrated the Kinect’s head-tracking capabilities at a recent Xbox One showcase and despite what might seem like such a minor addition the actual inclusion of a lean and peek feature actually makes quite a big difference to the gameplay. No other entry in the Battlefield series has had a lean and peek feature so its addition will help add to the realism that DICE strive for when developing.
In addition to this the Kinect integration will also allow players to issues voice commands so you can now call for a medic, request extra ammunition or indeed cancel said request for extra ammunition. You can also alert your team that you need a ride and my personal favourite, thank people who have just helped you.
Battlefield 4 is already available on current gen consoles, but it will be released in North America on November 22nd for Xbox One and November 15th for PlayStation 4.
