A new update has been released for Call of Duty: Ghosts with changes to spawns, weapon balance and anti-cheating. The update relates to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game. Here the full list of what’s being tweaked, updated and changed.

  • Spawns – The Spawn system has been improved with a better ability to select more suitable spawns when valid locations are limited.
  • Weapon Balance – One shot to the body and one shot to the head no longer apply for kills coming from AR’s, SMG’s and LMG’s. With the balance it gives the opponent a reaction time that was not already present.
  • Overall anti-cheat improvements have been implemented to give better play matches to players, while decreasing the chance for other players to exploit the game in any way.

Updates have also been made to the Extinction co-op mode where it fixes various problems that a number of players were reporting on, these include player class being displayed above the players’ head along with the gamertag, more balancing updates and kills now being displayed correctly on the Player Stats comparison screen.
