Concept Art Revealed for Scrapped Call of Duty Vietnam
Ever heard of Call of Duty: Vietnam? That’s not the official name, it’s just the name fans have called it. It was basically a Call of Duty project that never came to be. It was being worked on by Sledgehammer Games, but Activision ended up getting Sledgehammer on board working for Modern Warfare 3, and now the upcoming Advanced Warfare. So, Call of Duty: Vietnam ended up being scrapped. However, some recent concept art got put out on the internet from artist Eddie Del Rio, who you may know contributed to the new Godzilla movie.
On his website, some concept art shows what the game would’ve been like, giving you an idea of the tone. IGN described its tone as ‘darker, and more twisted’ than your average Call of Duty game. The concept art emphasizes that, showing a Vietcong soldier about to decapitate an American soldier. Sledgehammer also said the game was going to be third person, which would have been an interesting twist on the usually-first-person style it takes. While it may never come out, at least you can fantasize about it and enjoy the pretty artwork.
