Just in time for the release of The Taken King, Bungie has revealed today that the Destiny’s 2.0 update will go live on September 8th. The date was confirmed by Bungie on their Twitter account when asked by a fan when Destiny 2.0 would go live.

“The new quest system for Year 1 content and updated Ghost will be available on 9/8 alongside the 2.0 Update,” said Executive Producer Mike Noseworthy, who clarified the release date after some initial confusion. Destiny 2.0. will add some more vault space, an update to the quest system, and replaces Peter Dinklage’s Ghost voice with that of famed voice actor Nolan North (R.I.P. Dinklebot). The update is 18 GB (10 GB on last gen systems), and is required to keep playing Destiny, so those of you who don’t have the space might want to start looking into clearing out space now. Destiny is available now the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. The Taken King, the newest expansion is set to release on September 15th.
