Gears of War: Ultimate Edition Brings Us Familiar Faces with Launch Trailer

Gear of War: Ultimate Edition brings us a very familiar trailer by reimagining the original Gear of War Trailer accompanied by Gary Jules’ Mad World. The almost decade old trailer of the first Gears of War invokes a sense of nostalgia for old gamers. The hauntingly beautiful launch trailer also makes reference to its reimagining by stating that this game is “re-geared for a new generation.” Microsoft writes, “In celebration of the new Ultimate Edition, Mad World has been reimagined with all new footage showcasing how the original is back and better than ever.”

Gears of War: Ultimate Edition will not just be another simple re-release; the game will now run at 1080p at 60 frames per second and features improved graphics, new achievements, update gameplay, new maps, new game modes, a new difficulty level, and more. Gears of War: Ultimate Edition will be emerging later this month on August 25 on Xbox One. A release date for the PC version has still not been announced.
