The creator of the long standing open world RPG series Ultima Richard Garriott or Lord British as he sometimes prefers has released a brand new “six-month progress video” detailing what the team over at Portalarium have been working on for their upcoming role-playing game, Shroud of the Avatar: Forsaken Virtues. The almost 26 minute video is narrated entirely by Garriott and it details some of the games unique features as well as various locations, abilities, and combat mechanics.

Shroud of the Avatar is another crowd funded KickStarter project which sailed past its $1 million dollar target in just over 10 days and all in all it raised just over $1.9 million dollars in its month long campaign. Since then another $705,000 dollars has been donated through the games official website and because the game is being developed with the Unity game engine Shroud of the Avatar allows fans to create content for the final game which if approved will pay out with either real world or in-game compensation.

Shroud of the Avatar currently has a Q4 of 2014 release date and will be available on Windows PC, Mac and Linux at launch.
