When the various special editions for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End were announced earlier this week, it was revealed that the game would be getting some single player DLC, which is a first for the series. Today, Naughty Dog explained why that is.

At the Gamestop Expo, Naughty Dog’s Arnie Meyer explained why that is. “It worked really well for us for The Last of Us”, he explained, referring to The Last of Us DLC, Left Behind. “We thought we could put together a really great piece of content as well [for Uncharted 4].” While the company has done DLC before, they’re still new when it comes to single player focused DLC, the aforementioned Last of Us being the first game the company has done single player DLC. That worked out pretty well for them, as Left Behind was widely praised by critics when it originally came. Only time will tell if Naughty Dog can get lightning to strike twice. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is set to release exclusively on the PlayStation 4 on March 18th, 2016.
