Just when you thought it was safe to take off the garlic necklace!
The CW has announced plans to develop a series based on the 1987 movie The Lost Boys. The upcoming Lost Boys TV series is the latest project from Veronica Mars and iZombie creator Rob Thomas. The show is said to be a reimaging of Joel Schumacher’s cult classic film, which starred Jason Patric, Kiefer Sutherland, Jami Gertz, Corey Feldman and Corey Haim.
The anthology-style series will tell a story spanning seven decades, each season chronicling a ten-year span. Season 1 will be set in San Francisco during the Summer of Love, 1967. With each new season, the setting and the story will change — while the vampires or “lost boys” remain immortal and unchanged. No word yet on casting, premiere date or any of the finer details.
The original Lost Boys centered on two Arizona brothers, played by Patric and Haim, who move to a California town where they take on a gang of vampires. Check out the trailer below:
