Bethesda Is Currently Developing Three Unannounced “Bethesda Style” Games

Bethesda has three games that are currently being worked on, Todd Howard said during this year’s D.I.C.E. Summit. While the developer of Fallout 4 and The Elder Scrolls series working on games is nothing new, the fact that these three games in question are unannounced titles and are according to Howard “very different” than what the developer usually does is certainly going to pique the interest of many a gamer.

“We actually have three kind of longer term projects we’re doing”, said Howard during an onstage conversation with comedian Pete Holmes during this year’s D.I.C.E. Summit. “We’ll talk about them at a much future date, but they’re different than anything we’ve done before while also being a Bethesda-style game. Big and crazy, but in many ways different than anything we’ve done before.” Now while this is indeed interesting news, it’s important to realize that Howard didn’t say what part of Bethesda he was referring to: Bethesda Game Studios or Bethesda Softworks, the former being the developer side, while the latter handles mostly publishing. If he meant the former, this would be huge, as much like Rockstar Games, Bethesda Game Studios is known for taking its time with releasing games, usually taking as much as four years to work on a game, with the developer rarely if ever having any kind of overlap between projects, with the team mostly focusing on one game at time. However, the developer recently opened up a Montreal branch, so it’s possible that one of these games could be from this newly established studio.

We won’t know anything for sure about these games until Bethesda themselves reveal them, but with E3 coming up and Bethesda confirming that they will have a press conference like they did last year, we’ll most likely know more about these games sooner rather than later.
