Captain America Civil War Teams Revealed

Captain America Civil War Promo Art Divides the Teams

Oh, Marvel. You are so good to us.

We recently learned from Jeremy Renner himself that Hawkeye will be on Captain America’s side in Captain America Civil War. Now, thanks to some promotion posters slipped to and generously shared by the YouTube channel of one Mr. Sunday Movies, we know exactly who most of the major players will side with in the Civil War movie!

Each team has a line up poster with War Machine (Don Cheadle), Black Widow (Scarlet Johansson), Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) and Vision (Paul Bettany) standing shoulder to shoulder with Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.)

Captain America’s (Chris Evans) team is comprised of Ant-Man (Paul Rudd), Sharon Carter (Emily VanCamp), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and the Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan).

The line-ups aren’t particular surprising, although it’s still delightfully agonizing to think about the potential conflicts we’ll see given all the characters relationships so far. Black Widow against Hawkeye and Cap? Not even mind control involved this time?

Two noticeable omissions from the lineups are Scarlet Witch and Spider-Man. We can’t say for sure why either of them may be absent from either team, or if they’re just not accounted for in these promotions. Personally, with Iron Man, War Machine and Vision all on one side, I think Team Cap could use some more power, even though they do have an extra man over Team Iron. The Hulk is also nowhere to be seen, despite rumors of his presence in the movie. Could you imagine how darkly ironic it would be if Tony got to repeat his “We have a Hulk” line to Steve?

Check out the images for yourself below! Knowing where everybody stands, whose side will you be rooting for in Captain America Civil War? #TeamIron or #TeamCap? We’ll get to see the big superhero throw down May 6th, 2016.
