Disgaea: Hour of Darkness Headed to PC This February

Nippon Ichi has announced today that the original Disgaea title, Disgaea: Hour of Darkness, that was originally released for the PlayStation 2 in 2003, will be headed to PC via Steam this February, 2016. The strategy RPG has gone to be a highly successful franchise, spawning a number of sequels and spinoffs for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. In addition to the original game, the new PC port will also include updated UI and textures, keyboard, mouse, and controller support, as well as the additional content of the PSP re-release, Disgaea: Afternoons of Darkness, as well as new Steam features including cloud saves, and achievements.

Best known for its replayability and immense depth, the Disgaea franchise has remained a primarily Sony franchise, with Hour of Darkness marking the first PC release in the franchise’s history. The most current entry in the series, Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance, is currently available on PlayStation 4 and marks the 6th entry in the series.
