Monster Hunter Invades Super Mario Maker

Capcom and Nintendo have struck another exclusive deal with Capcom’s popular fantasy-action game, Monster Hunter. This time Capcom will be bringing over something new to Super Mario Maker.

That’s right; Capcom is bringing a Monster Hunter themed 8-bit felyne costume over to The Mushroom Kingdom. To unlock it, you will simply have to beat Ma Rio Hills. The felyne will join an expansive cast of other characters that have made a cameo in Super Mario Maker. Some of the cameos include the hero Link from the Legend of Zelda series, secretary Isabelle from Animal Crossing, and expert swordsman Marth from the Fire Emblem series.

This isn’t the first time the goomba-pounding plumber has met with Monster Hunter though. In Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, players are able to don the famous plumber brother’s costumes on their pet felyne companions, complete with hat, mustache and hammer. Players can also wear gear from some of their other favorite games. Some of these gear include outfits from Animal Crossing, Sonic, and Devil May CrySuper Mario Maker is available now exclusively for the Wii U.
