New Mortal Kombat X DLC Characters To Be Revealed At The Game Awards

One of the biggest reasons I paid attention to the Spike Video Game Awards (or VGAs as they’re known) were the world premiere exclusive games and content. It was during this award show that we got world exclusive reveals for games like Batman: Arkham City, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, and Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. The Game Awards, the spiritual successor to the VGAs run by host Geoff Keighley, will be keeping that tradition alive this week, as new DLC characters for the latest game in the Mortal Kombat series, Mortal Kombat X, are set to make their debut at this week’s show, according to Mortal Kombat series creator Ed Boon.

Taking to Twitter, Boon twitted out an image of The Game Awards logo with Mortal Kombat X’s tagline “Who’s Next?” over it, as well as a message. “Really looking forward to attending @thegameawards on Thursday with the exclusive reveal of “Who’s Next” in MKX !!”, he said in the Tweet. Currently, it’s unknown who will the new DLC characters; series mainstays like Baraka and Sindel are sure to make their way in, though I’m personally hoping to see more characters like Jason and the Predator. I’m personally holding out hope for the Candyman to be in the game.

Mortal Kombat X is available now for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and the PC. The Game Awards are set to air on December 3rd via The Game Awards Twitch and YouTube channels.
