New Resident Evil 7 Teasers Amplify The Creepiness

As the release of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard gets closer, Capcom has started a new campaign for the game. Called “Volumes”, these short clips hope to give players small bites of the game leading up to it’s release.

Volume 1 is called “Mysterious Caller”, and while it doesn’t show much in terms of gameplay, it’s certainly an unsettling clip, with a phone mysteriously ringing in various locations. Volume 2 is called “Shotgun in the Box”, and is about, you guessed it, a shotgun in a box. The inventory for the game is shown very briefly during the clip, and while it’s nice to see an old favorite make a return, it still doesn’t take away from how unsettling everything is.

The volumes are about 30 seconds long each, and you can check them out below. Resident Evil 7: Biohazard releases on January 24th, 2017. It’ll be on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, with PlayStation VR being supported as well for a time.
