Splatoon Is Getting a Free Demo

Spaltoon, the popular online shooter from Nintendo, is getting a new demo. Called the Global Testfire, it will run this weekend on August 21st-23rd from 3 PM to 5 PM Pacific Time. Nintendo revealed this during a new video on their YouTube channeling promoting the game, which you can check out below.

If Global Testfire sounds familiar to you, it’s probably because this isn’t the first time it happened. Back in early May, the Global Testfire of Splatoon was released to the public as a way to not only play the game early, but to also test the stability of online servers for the game when it came out. While it’s highly unlikely that this Testfire will be testing the servers, those who haven’t picked up the game will be able to try out the game’s 4-on-4 Turf War mode, and will hopefully convince some new players to get in on the fun. The main game is currently available now exclusively for the Wii U. To those of you who haven’t picked up the game yet and own Wii Us, would this be enough to get you to channel your inner squid/kid?
