SDCC 2014: Telltale Games’ The Walking Dead Season 3 Confirmed

With The Walking Dead’s episodic video game’s Season 2 still under production and yet unfinished, Telltale Games president Kevin Bruner and The Walking Dead comic creator Robert Kirkman revealed at San Diego Comic-Con this weekend that plans are already underway for a third season.

Release date and story details are still under wraps, and Telltale Games is already working on Game of Thrones and Tales from the Borderlands, but knowing that plans for a third season are underway does bring into question some interesting plot points for the still running second season, especially considering how it has developed thus far. This being the case, it’s unlikely we’ll see more news of the third season anytime soon.

The Walking Dead Season 2’s fourth episode, “Amid the Ruins,” was released earlier this week and is available on a multitude of platforms including Windows, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Mac OSX X, iOS, PlayStation Vita, Android, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
