VIP Rewards for Year One Players Coming to Destiny
Bungie thought it might be fun — and a nice gesture, to recognize players who had jumped on the Destiny fan train previous to The Taken King. In doing so, the developer will be bringing a “Destiny Founder’s Fortune Pack” which will include, if you haven’t guessed, four items. The pack will come with black and grey tiger-striped items — such as the Be Brave emblem, the Old Guard shader, and the S-32 Ravensteel Sparrow. There will also be the Brave Ghost Shell, a color match up that players haven’t previously seen as it’s a combination of orange and pale yellow.
There wasn’t talk of associated perks in the reveal video, but that might be that Bungie wants to leave what else might be coming as a surprise — plus it’s doubtful that the company would give their loyal players something that would quickly become outdated.
In order to get the items mentioned above, players must already have The Dark Below and House of Wolves or be a Light level 30 by August 31st. Once you purchase and install The Taken King, the items will be yours for the taking. That means there’s still time to grind away, or just spend the money on the DLC packs, whichever happens to suit your fancy.
Destiny: The Taken King and the 2.0 update release on September 15th, 2015 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3.
