Watch the Meaty New Red Band Trailer for NBC’s “Hannibal”

If you’ve been watching anything on NBC lately, then you must have seen the short little teasers for a new show called “Hannibal”. Now, a killer new trailer has arrived that gives us a deeper look into what the series is all about. NBC’s “Hannibal” is based on Thomas Harris’ character, Dr. Hannibal Lecter (played creepily by Mads Mikkelsen) and focuses on the relationship between Lecter and FBI agent Will Graham (Hugh Dancy). The Hannibal Lecter character was made popular by Anthony Hopkins in the 1991 thriller, “The Silence of the Lambs”.

From what we can deduce about this new series, it will include some gory twists and turns that we rarely see on broadcast television, due to the lack of high-quality serial killer shows. Sink your teeth into the 3-minute trailer below for a sneak peek of the brutal modern tale, “Hannibal.”

In addition to Dancy and Mikkelsen, “Hannibal” will feature appearances by Lance Henriksen, Gillian Anderson, Laurence Fishburne, Eddie Izzard, Molly Shannon, Ellen Greene, Chelan Simmons, Lara Jean Chorostecki and Raul Esparza.

“Hannibal” is set to premiere on April 4th, 2013 on NBC.
