Warning: Major Spoilers Ahead!

This week is finally wrapping up some minor details and unraveling a few new things for the Gallaghers to try and grapple with. Fiona makes some new friends at work, and must also face the possibility of Jimmy going back to medical school in Michigan. Mandy is getting mixed reviews after running over Karen, who is in a coma with no end in sight.

Frank is working alongside Abraham Paige as the lead guy for gay marriage rights. He seems to be doing well and pushes to get better hotels and pay for his services. Meanwhile, another group decides that Frank would be the perfect spokesperson for reparative therapy for homosexuals who want to go back to being heterosexuals. They will provide women for Frank to have sex with until he is “cured”.

Fiona has had her hands busy with taking care of the kids while Jimmy is still unemployed. Fiona seems to enjoy her job just a little even if it is selling cups. When she goes into work, the owner of the company is giving a talk hoping to hype up the Cuppers softball team. The manager on site hopes to have Fiona on the squad for the night and seems to slip in that they need more girls on the team or they need to forfeit. Does Fiona show up for the game?

Jimmy is doing well with working at home and being with the kids. With medical school back on his mind, he questions if he could really do it. Granted, he would have to go back to Michigan to finish the one year he has and he would have to leave what he has in Chicago. Would it be worth it in the end?

Jimmy brings the topic up with Fiona when she is rushing out the door for work, and even though Fiona is a little startled by the pending news, she seems to be okay with it. Even the crew at the office are excited to hear she could be a doctor’s wife, and they introduce her to those fancy k-cups. YUM!

Jimmy brings the morning coffee out to the beloved man keeping an eye on him. Granted, its bitter coffee, he has sweet n low in his back pocket. But that is beside the point. Jimmy brings up the topic of going back to medical school and questions if it would be the right thing to do. Umm, what about the wife? He hasn’t seen her in a while and I am sure it is a couple of months at this point. Jimmy has been doing a good job at staying out of trouble but if he goes to Michigan to finish his schooling, would he be staying out of trouble?

Karen is in the hospital and in a coma. She has not snapped out of it since she was hospitalized. The doctor does the morning rounds and noticed swelling has gone down in her brain. This in turn means that she is taken off of a couple of meds which would help bring her out of the coma. Sheila wants to ask the doctor all the proper questions but tends to be a mean word and wants to walk out the door. That is until Jody announces he has no problem throwing the doctor over his head and out the window. Talk about serious!

Lip is devastated at the news of Karen and decides to skip school. Debbie also plays hookie to take some chicken soup to Sheila. Granted, Lip is not happy about it and the two walk over to the hospital together. Seeing Karen in a rough state makes Lip regret the way he talked to her last, when he told Karen that it was over and that he was with Mandy.

Speaking of Mandy, she seems to have no remorse for her evil doings. She cleaned up the crime scene and has not told anyone about what she has done. She only wants to get in better with Lip and make sure that he won’t leave her. Lip finds out about the text from Sheila, and learns that someone set him up. Well, maybe they set Karen up.

Veronica and Kevin are anxiously awaiting for her mom to come on by so they have relentlessly been tracking her down. With the downfalls of not being pregnant yet again, Veronica just wants to get drunk. Later on, Veronica and her mom manage to get the test and what do you think happens. I should probably say the Kevin doesn’t have to go bangin’ his mother in law any more. Yay!

The doctor comes back and makes note that happy and good stimulation would be best to help her wake. When Lip leaves, Jody is back and it is just him and Sheila. Jody works his magic and convinces Sheila to head home for some rest. But what does Jody have planned? Oh, that dirty boy! Karen is wide awake and more than likely a little embarrassed at how she woke up. Jody on the other hand, feels like the godfather of waking up people in a coma. Sorry Jody, no medical degree for you.

Next week on “Shameless”: Karen is home recouping, Jimmy has to deal with the drug lord, Frank is out on his own, yet again.

Season 3 of “Shameless” stars William H. Macy, Emmy Rossum, Justin Chatwin, Jeremy Allen White, Cameron Monaghan, Emma Kenney, Shanola Hampton, Steve Howey and Joan Cusack. Catch new episodes every Sunday at 9 PM, only on Showtime.
